The West Virginia Promise Scholarship, a merit-based financial aid program for high school graduates, has announced updates for the 2024-2025 academic year:
Application Deadline Extension
The deadline to apply has been extended to September 1, 2024, providing students with additional time to complete and submit their applications.
Increased Award Value
Starting with the 2024-2025 academic year, Promise scholars will receive annual awards valued at the lesser of tuition and mandatory fees or $5,500. This represents an increase from the current maximum award of $5,500 per year.
