Djokovic Beats Musetti in Five-Set Thriller

Djokovic Moves to Within One Win of Record-Equaling Eighth Wimbledon Title

Novak Djokovic staged a remarkable five-set comeback to defeat Lorenzo Musetti in the third round of the 2024 men's singles at Wimbledon on Saturday night.

Djokovic, 37, is the oldest man to reach a men's singles final at the Olympics. He will face off against Matteo Berrettini in the final on Sunday.

The match was a thrilling affair, with both players trading blows throughout the five sets. Musetti took the first set, but Djokovic fought back to win the second and third sets. Musetti then won the fourth, setting the stage for a decisive fifth set.

In the fifth set, Djokovic broke Musetti's serve early and held on to win, 7-5. The victory was Djokovic's 27th consecutive win at Wimbledon and his 89th win at the tournament overall.

Djokovic is now one win away from capturing a record-equaling eighth Wimbledon title. He will be looking to become the first man since Roger Federer in 2017 to win the Wimbledon title three consecutive years.
