Jennifer Rumsey to Take Helm on August 1, 2022
Columbus, Indiana - Cummins Inc. (CMI) today announced that Jennifer Rumsey has been elected as the company's next Chair and CEO, effective August 1, 2022. Rumsey will succeed Tom Linebarger, who is retiring as CEO after 10 years of leading the company.
Rumsey has served as President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Cummins since 2021. She joined Cummins in 1992 and has held various leadership roles in the company, including Vice President and General Manager of the Engine Business, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, and Chief Technical Officer.
In her new role, Rumsey will oversee Cummins' global operations and guide the company's strategy to provide customers with a broad portfolio of power solutions that meet their needs. Cummins is a global power leader, offering engines, generators, and related technologies for a variety of markets, including transportation, industrial, and power generation.
