The 2022/23 Women's Super League season is upon us, and that means we have a new squad list for Arsenal WFC. The Gunners will be looking to build on their impressive performance last season, when they finished second in the league and reached the final of the FA Cup. One of the key areas of the team that has seen some changes is the goalkeeping department.
Arsenal have signed two new goalkeepers this summer, Manuela Zinsberger from Bayern Munich and Sabrina D'Angelo from Juventus. Both players have a wealth of experience at the highest level, and they will provide strong competition for the starting spot. Zinsberger is a full Austrian international, and she has won the Frauen-Bundesliga title twice with Bayern Munich. D'Angelo is a highly-rated Italian goalkeeper, and she has been capped at the youth level for her country.
The Gunners also have two other goalkeepers in their squad, Lydia Williams and Fran Stenson. Williams is a Canadian international, and she has been with Arsenal since 2018. Stenson is a young English goalkeeper, and she has been part of the Arsenal academy since 2016.
With such a strong squad of goalkeepers, Arsenal will be confident of having a successful season in 2023/24. The Gunners will be looking to challenge for the Women's Super League title, and they will also be hoping to make a deep run in the FA Cup and the Champions League.
